“I am and always will be the optimist, the hoper of far-flung hopes and the dreamer of improblable dreams.”
― Matt Smith
Nicole Scott was born in small town West Virginia.
I hate third person, so let’s not do that. Also, that sentence is capital-B booooring.
Hello friend! I’m Nicole Scott, and the wild and wonderful state of West Virginia is the place I’m so grateful to call home. To get the professional details out of the way, I graduated from Marshall University with a B.A. in English (Creative Writing) and Humanities (Classical Studies) and obtaining my M.F.A. through Lindenwood University in Creative Writing (Poetry) is just around the corner! I work now as a full-time freelance writer, spending way too much money on craft coffee while I tap tap tap away at my sticker-decked out laptop like the damn millennial I am.
Say what you want, I’m proud of it!
My life-long mission is to use my writing talents to assist any initiative to change the world. Nonprofit. Social good. Whatever you want to call it, I’m here for it.
A little bit about me? Well, I’m glad you asked! I love decorating pages with words and calling it poetry. I love watching It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia with a craft brew in hand. I also love getting lost in the labyrinths that are known as libraries.
I have also once crashed a sled led by six Siberian huskies in the Arctic Circle in Finland. But that’s neither here, nor there …
I love to bring optimism into my work. That is something so integral in writing, I can’t stress it enough. The words you speak and allow to be read on your behalf shape the visual image of who you are to the world. I get so much joy and light when I am able to provide that to another driven, enthusiastic individual. So, let’s make magic happen!
Feel free to send me a message, chat, send funny hate mail, I’ll read it! Words are, you could say, kind of my thing!
