About

“I am and always will be the optimist, the hoper of far-flung hopes and the dreamer of improbable dreams.”
― Matt Smith

I’m Nicole Scott! I was born in the wild and wonderful state of West Virginia and now live in Hagerstown, MD. To get the professional details out of the way, I have two Bachelors of Arts in English (Creative Writing) and Humanities (Classical Studies) and a Masters of Fine Arts in Creative Writing (Poetry)!

I work as a copywriter, publishing content about environmentalism and tech, among other things. I love to experiment in my poetry, where I write about themes like nature mythology, cosmic horror, intimacy, and food. I’m currently writing my first novel, which is a self-proclaimed “philosophical comedy.” A little bit more about me?

  • I love watching It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia with a craft brew in hand.

  • I loathe social media and do not have any profiles (unless you count LinkedIn, which, I don’t).

  • My favorite drink is an Americano, black.

  • I love playing farming sims with my partner while talking about living our dream pastoral life.

  • Most of my brainpower goes into discovering secrets in The Legend of Zelda series until I reach 100% completion.

  • I hurt my back frequently while doing puzzles, building Lego, or making pony bead creations.

  • I use almost all my money to see live music or ride roller coasters.

  • I have two cats — Tizo and Alarielle — who are equally alien and gremlin. They are my everything.

My life-long mission is to use my writing talents to assist any initiative to change the world. I love to bring optimism into my work. I strive to always be innovative, brave, and open-minded when writing — always learning and always crafting to the best of my ability.
